Tess Giberson Spring/Summer 2013…

December 18, 2012

I haven’t done a fashion post in a while simply because most of the collections I’ve seen have bored me to tears but seeing as how Spring/Summer is around the corner, I’ve been really amp’t for something fresh. After all, these collections have really high expectations around them in the fashion world.

And why not? They’re the fun collections with bright colours, sexy cuts and fun motifs. So it’s not very often you see a monochromatic collection from a designer around this time. Maybe that’s what makes Tess Giberson’s Spring Summer 2013 collection so striking. It’s a brave move to release your entire collection in white and rely on people appreciating your sense of aesthetic and your fabric choice instead of dazzling them with colour. Of course, it’s what you expect from someone whose collections who were exhibited by the Museum of Contemporary Art in L.A. and the Taka Ishii Gallery in Tokyo.
